Pool & Spa Inspections
Home Inspectors are getting into thermography but aren't getting any formal training. So, it would be like handing you an infrared camera and saying, "Have at it". It's much more than just turning on the camera. You need to interpret what is being viewed. Only training and years of experience can give you this. I've been trained by ITC. The leader in infrared training and education.
In commercial applications where roof leaks are common on flat roofs, nothing is better to find moisture intrusion than thermal Imaging. Of course, backing up the finding with a commercial grade moisture detector is key as well.
I've been a certified mold inspector since Thermal imaging inspections use infrared technology to identify areas of your building where heat is escaping. This can help you identify potential energy savings opportunities and improve the overall comfort of your building.
Radon Testing is done using a continuous monitor that takes an air sample every hour. Continuous monitors are more accurate than canisters. The home or office must be vacant during the testing due to opening and exterior door will allow fresh air to skew the results.
A sewer camera is used at the main lateral cleanout which is normally close to the home and building. It is then fed down the main sewer line to the road. Any cracks or breaks in this line is then photographed and installed in a report. There are many types of drain lines which some are hardier than others. In several instances, roots from nearby trees or shrubs can enter and obstruct the sewer line.

Items inspected are but not limited to:
A building inspection can help you identify any structural or safety issues with a property before you buy it. It can also help you negotiate a fair price and plan for future repairs or renovations.
The cost of the inspection varies. In most cases, the cost is associated with the square footage and age of the home. Does the home have a pool or a detached casita or garage? The cost typically changes every 500sf. The cost is also different from condos to single or multifamily homes. It's always recommended to call for an accurate quote.
